RTK, spol. s r. o. v Rokytnici nad Jizerou, is a company that follows in the long-standing tradition of textile production in Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The company’s first activities can be traced back as far as 1867. For the most-part cotton fabric was produced, fine or jacquard, loomstate or coloured. The company even had its own bleacher for some time, and adjusted fabric into final form for sale.
After the second world war, the company represented one of the plants of the national company Seba n.p. Significant changes ensued after 1992, when the company was privatized. A new period of company development was initiated under the name RTK, spol. s r.o. Subsequently, foreign capital was introduced into the company, forming a minority share, thus enabling modernisation of the machinery, the securing of new orders and the filling of the machinery capacities of the textile plant.
During this era, a broad modernization of the entire plant was also initiated. This related mostly to the reconstruction of production buildings, electrical distribution change, construction of a new gas boiler room, incl. a change of the heat distribution system. New automatic air conditioning units were installed in the textile plant together with a new water system, etc.
In 2004, two foreign companies became partners with a 100% share in the company – the Swiss company Jenny Fabrics AG and the Austrian company Linz Textil Holding AG. At the same time, a number of personal and organisational changes occurred. The company’s inclusion into a group of strong foreign textile companies provided the basic qualitative conditions for further development in all the company’s activities.
The most significant change was the increase in production for Jenny Fabrics AG. This meant a need for increased capacity, higher quality and technology modernisation alongside maximum achievable production quality. Therefore in 2007, continual 24/7 operation was introduced. This mode became an essential element for further company development and is still in place today. A significant increase in productivity was achieved, as well as a reduction in costs for production units. This resulted in improved economy and competitiveness in foreign markets.
This was supported by ÖKO-TEX Standard 100 and STeP by OEKO-TEX ecology certification, guaranteeing not only environmentally friendly products and production procedures, but also observing the legal rules in all the company’s activities, including its care for company employees.
